Zackery Alexzander Stephens (they/them) is a comedy writer and director. They're currently a writer on The Amber Ruffin Show and season 2 of Our Flag Means Death. They recently worked on Netflix’s adult animated comedy Q-Force, which is exec. produced by Mike Schur with Gabe Liedman showrunning. Zackery is developing a WGA-covered animated sci-fi comedy they sold to Amazon with Will Packer Productions. They're also developing a multicam that is setup at Warner Bros. with Ty Burrell's production company and adapting a book for CBSTVS, the NAACP, and Pursued by a Bear productions.
Before focusing on television, Zackery spent almost a decade performing sketch and improvisational comedy in Chicago and New York. They currently serve on Outfest's board of directors and is an alum of the organization's screenwriting lab.
Zackery has come a long way for a kid that grew up on a farm in the rural and inaccurately self-titled, “Palm Springs” of Washington State. Zackery is represented by Molly Hurwitz at Thruline Entertainment.
