Zackery Alexzander Stephens (they/them) is a comedian, writer, and director. They're currently working on Netflix’s upcoming adult animated comedy Q-Force, which is exec. produced by Mike Schur with Gabe Liedman showrunning. They have an adult animated comedy with Will Packer attached and are adapting the book How To Be You by Jeffrey Marsh for television with Wolper Org. They've written for animation and on talk show pilot presentations. Zackery's original pilots have earned them the titles of Outfest Screenwriting Lab Fellow, NYTVF alumni & Orchard Project Episodic Lab Fellow.
Before focusing on television, Zackery spent almost a decade performing sketch and improvisational comedy. They performed at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, The Second City, iO Chicago and Annoyance. Zackery recently taught the Sketch Directing Lab at the Magnet Theater and directed for the comedy collective BoogieManja at the PIT. They have taught workshops at Fordham University, University of Washington, Central Washington University and other colleges across the country.
Zackery has come a long way for a kid that grew up on a farm in the rural and inaccurately self-titled, “Palm Springs” of Washington State. Zackery is represented by Molly Hurwitz at Zero Gravity.
